Under 50 AED

img_0236img_0239img_0317Gyros !

Just because I enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people.

So I drove to the Irish village at Garhoud deira, the place is calm and peaceful, you have a choice of sitting outside under the trees, in the open on the old fashioned wooden chairs and tables or you can fancy dining inside the restaurants, well I chose to sit outside as the weather was pleasant.

I walked around & checked what options were available, so I picked Joey’s as my stop.

Lunch deal was on from 12 till 3pm (at the Irish Village outlet)
Price was ok AED 45 for the deal.
Serving size good.
Gyros with fries & soft drink.
Meat options are available for the gyros.
Friendly staff with tasty gyros & cooling mock-tail.
The ambience was even more pleasing. I probably will be dropping in here more, the chances are strong.

Afghani Pulao — December 15, 2015

Afghani Pulao

Even though I’m not a fan of rice, but the Afghani pulao at al kabab al Afghani are true addiction.
People do try their meat pulao as it’s the best one in the menu, the picture below is of meat pulao and shami pulao.
Meat pulao has a big loaf of very well done meat and the shami pulao is with that seekh kabab similar meat, the rice has a unique flavor with raisins adding more flavor in each bite.
They serve yakhni / desi style soup with fresh salad & raita & I tell you that you will enjoy this soup also.
Price is normal with good serving size.
Do try & share your experience.

111111111Sheikh Zayed Mosque..today was my first visit to the mosque, though I have been to Abu Dhabi countless times, it was a good decision to spend the day.1q 11q 111q 1111q 11111q 111111q 1111111q
It’s a beautiful mosque, no camera can capture it’s unique workmanship.
From there we drove to have dinner as we skipped lunch. Heard a lot about man o salwa restaurant,so we googled it to reach.
Ordered mutton chapli kabab, grilled fish (which they claimed will be spicy) chicken seekh kabab, tawa qeema & mukhni chicken.
The tawa qeema, chapli kabab and mukhni chicken were the taste winners. The fish and chicken seekh kababs should have been served with some chutney.
The serving size and food quality was good, but they can improve it further with the little additions such as chutneys or raitas.
Ambience was very desi local, In fact it actually reminded me of those Delhi style local food shops.
Price was average. Pocket friendly.
I will rate it at 3 out of 5.
